Today, Switch users finally got their hands on Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6. As with most modern releases, this launch was accompanied by a patch. However, this patch includes something that might be fun news: gyro and motion controls.
Many of the previous Nintendo releases of Resident Evil titles saw their favorite gimmick included, including two rail shooter games made specifically with them in mind. That means that this decision likely isn’t surprising to many.
That being said, the demos of these two games didn’t include support for motion controls. That means this launch patch will give players a chance to harken back to the days of light gun games.
Hopefully, this means that future Resi Switch releases will also have motion support, including Project: REsistance and the mysterious Resident Evil 8.
