I feel like games have gotten unnecessarily data-heavy. For instance, Call of Duty Modern Warfare has become infamous lately for reaching over 200GB in file size.
This means that the modern player has to know going in the kind of data sacrifice they have to make. Most games nowadays actually have their size revealed prior to launch. Again, this is so gamers can make the hard choices.
Resident Evil Village itself will be 35 gigs. This is the entirety of the story, including whatever twists and turns are hidden therein. In addition to this, though, there will be the option to download RE:Verse, the multiplayer component. This will be an additional 15.02 gigs.
In the end, Resident Evil Village will run you for 50.02 gigs in hard drive space. That’s certainly not the worst we’ve seen, but it’s still going to be quite the hefty price to pay.
Make sure to delete what you don’t want or buy an external hard drive before May 7th rolls around!
