UPDATE: 26 SEPTEMBER 2020- Since the release of this article, Netflix Portugal has taken down their Tweet, which we are believing to mean they posted accidentally before a reveal at TGS on Sunday.
We’ve heard murmurs of another Resident Evil project being in the works over at Netflix for a while now other than the recently announced series involving Wesker’s daughters. However, its exact shape has been generally unknown.
Most of what we had heard until now were rumors, and while this doesn’t kill those rumors, it certainly makes us wonder: the official Netflix Portugal account posted a trailer today for a CG Resident Evil feature featuring Claire and Leon called Resident Evil Infinite Darkness.
Whether it was through some oversight, an accident, or even possibly intentional, the legitimacy of the trailer can’t be refuted.

It would take a lot of work to not only make the CG animation that was featured but also to somehow get it posted on the Netflix Portugal account.
There’s not a lot of information on the teaser. The only sure elements are Claire and Leon, another living person, as well as seemingly standard zombies.

Interestingly enough, the models for Leon and Claire are NOT their current RE Engine ones, but rather the ones present in the original CG films. What this means is unclear; perhaps the project is a bit older and only just now seeing daylight.

Either way, we’ll keep an ear to the ground for any new information coming from this project.
