Resident Evil 4 VR will be available on Facebook’s Oculus Quest 2 headset on October 21st.
Earlier this year, Resident Evil 4 VR was announced. However, Facebook and Capcom, as well as third-party development studio Armature, have only provided brief glimpses of the game’s gameplay, including a brief trailer.
Resident Evil 4 by Armature has been re-engineered to function as a first-person VR game with motion controllers. You’ll use your hands to interact with weapons, items, and puzzles. Instead of a screen overlay, your health will be displayed on a wristwatch.
In room-scale VR, you’ll be able to teleport or walk in addition to moving with the analog stick on an Oculus Touch controller.
RE4 VR, unlike most Quest games, is not compatible with the original 2019 Quest — it is entirely exclusive to the 2020 Quest 2.
