It didn’t take long for the community to dig its claws into the Resident Evil 3 demo. Some simply played it, some modded it, and of course, some mined it for whatever info they could dig up.
Along with plenty of spoiler material (which we won’t be discussing here), our friend Rouke (@sisslethecat) over at Rely on Horror reported that miners also discovered an interesting bit of code.

These prompts are the ones you always see, warning you against corrupted data. However, while three of them are to be expected a surprising fourth suggests that the demo (and by extension, the game) will be making their way to the Nintendo Switch before long.
We’ve seen a lot of the previous titles ported to the Switch, including 4, 5, and 6. Notably missing from the Switch, however, is the remake of Resident Evil 2. 7 was also available in Japan as part of a streaming feature, maybe something Capcom might plan for this latest title?
This means that 3 might end up forging the path for all future installments on the platform.
Only time will tell, but it’s reasonable to get excited with this evidence. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments!
