Resident Evil 3 (2020) might not be everyone’s favorite, but one can hardly say that it’s only riding the hype, especially this late in the year. With sales popping up here and there, it’s not hard to see why the title so moves units.
As such, Resident Evil 3 (2020) can now say it’s part of the 3 Million Club, breaking 3 million copies sold as of September 30th. This brings the entire franchise over a whopping 105 million units moved.
These additional 300k copies of Resident Evil 3 (2020) (last report stating 2.7 million units having sold) helped Capcom make record sales for the second quarter since the Capcom fiscal year runs differently than the calendar year.
It’s good to see the company we love to succeed, even if we don’t always agree with their choices. As 2021 approaches and not just Village, but Infinite Darkness, a reported live-action series, and the reboot of the film franchise as well, next year is shaping up to be the Year of Resident Evil.
