PlayStation announced on their Twitter that Resident Evil 2’s 1-Shot Demo is returning to the PS Store. This time with NO TIME LIMIT!
For those that didn’t get a chance to play the 1-Shot Demo before Resident Evil 2 released in January of this year, the premise was simple. You had 30 minutes to explore the R.P.D., test game mechanics, and learn as much as you can. As the name implies, you had one chance.
After 30 minutes you were locked out and had to wait for the game’s full release.
It’s interesting to see them make a demo available for a game that is approaching its one year anniversary. It’s noted on SteamDB that the 1-Shot Demo and R.P.D. demo have both been updated within the past 24 hours.
Could this be tied with the upcoming release of Resident Evil 3? It would be interesting to see these demos updated to reflect the new mechanics we are going to see in RE3 and possibly updated to have the ability to play as Jill in the demos.
