Capcom has made a habit as of late of promoting their upcoming games the old-fashioned way: demos. Whether they’re untraditional, like Beginning Hour was for Resident Evil 7, or straight-forward, like Resident Evil 3 had, the devs have always made sure you got a little bit of free content to whet your appetite before the full release.
Well, aside from the Maiden demo that PlayStation 5 players got their hands on, players might get to play something a bit different if We Got This Covered is correct. According to their sources, players will see some bits of the main game when the next demo comes out.
We Got This Covered dug this information out of Capcom’s recent interview with Famitsu. In it, the team admits that Maiden served more as a tech demo and that the next demo will be much more in line with what players can expect once Resident Evil Village releases.
This isn’t too out of the norm for Capcom. After all, when Resident Evil 2‘s demo first launched, while restricted to a half-hour of play, was straight out of the final product. It gave us a strong glimpse into what we would eventually get to play to fruition.
As most will be glad to hear, the next Resident Evil Village demo will be available for everyone to play, including the older generation. As for WHEN, however, we’re still not sure. Likely, it’ll be some time during this month.
Between now and Resident Evil Village‘s May 7th, make sure to keep an eye out for any news we drop about this demo.
