Laced Records Opens Preorders for Resident Evil 5 Soundtrack on Vinyl - 4 min read

Resident Evil 5 Laced Records

A few days ago, Laced Records dropped a pretty hefty “hint” on what their next vinyl was going to be. A picture of Wesker as he appears in Resident Evil 5, it was our guess at the time that they were gearing up to make the next vinyl in their Resident Evil collection.

We were right.

Laced has officially opened up pre-orders for the Resident Evil 5 3LP vinyl. Coming in either black or orange, these records contain the entirety of the Resi 5 soundtrack.

While not the most beloved installment of the series, Resident Evil 5 nonetheless has an ardent following. I for one have spent hours upon hours playing 5, assisted in no small way by the co-op function.

Either way, collectors will want this one to keep their collection complete and for a price of £45.00($58.00USD), you don’t have to worry about breaking the bank to dos so!

From Laced Records:

  • 50 tracks from the 2009 survival horror title
  • Three-disc set in a deluxe triple gatefold sleeve
  • Standard edition featuring traditional black discs

The horror doesn’t let up… Laced Records and Capcom present the music of Resident Evil™ 5 in a deluxe triple vinyl set. The release comprises 50 remastered tracks from the original soundtrack pressed to heavyweight LPs, presented in a deluxe triple gatefold sleeve.

First released in 2009, Resident Evil 5 brought the series shooting and screaming into HD, building on Resident Evil 4’s over-the-shoulder reinvention of the series with new co-op mechanics and thrilling boss encounters.

Delivering his first music for the series, Kota Suzuki led a composition team that included Hideki Okugawa, Akihiko Narita, Seiko Kobuchi, and Wataru Hokoyama. For the first time in a Resident Evil title, the soundtrack enjoyed live orchestral recordings thanks to the Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra.

Tracks have been specially mastered for vinyl will be pressed onto audiophile-quality, heavyweight 180g discs. These will be housed in a deluxe triple gatefold sleeve. Sleeve artwork was created by Capcom and Boris Moncel of Blackmane Design.
