With the announcement of Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness and the release of Resident Evil: Village, much of the information regarding the new Resident Evil Live Action series has been tight-lipped. Limited information has been shared regarding the overall timeline, with series Showrunner Andrew Dabb explaining “The series is a sequel to the games, while the live-action movie will be its own canon“.
However, the first drips of information about the show production have officially come to fruition, with Netflix Geeked tweeting an announcement of the cast, as follows:
Lance Reddick, of John Wick and Oz fame, is set to take the reigns of the iconic antagonist. Lance Reddick has also entered the realm of voice acting, with roles in the Horizon and Destiny franchises. An impressive portfolio of media will surely give us an interesting adaption of the classic villain.
Other cast members include Ella Balinska (Charlie’s Angels’ ) Tamara Smart (The Worst Witch) Siena Agudong (Star Falls) / Adeline Rudolph (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) Paola Nunez (The Purge).
It is great to finally get an update to this project, with many fearing that it may get lost in the shuffle with the release of Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness and Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City. We eagerly await further news and development on this series.
