Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Gets Resident Evil Crossover

Monster Hunter World‘s first expansion, Iceborne, launched not long ago, and people have been enjoying it significantly. It’s added a new area and plenty of new Monsters to hunt.

But apparently, it’ll also be adding some Resident Evil content as well, because Capcom doesn’t give a damn.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne x RE2 Announcement Trailer

A recent trailer showed off Leon, Claire, Mr. X, and zombies in some kind of horror setting, somehow ALSO set in the world of Monster Hunter.

From the looks of it, Mr. X will act as a handler character, while Leon, Claire, and the zombies are skins, essentially. What all of this will entail, however, is completely up in the air. It’s not like any of us actually entertained a thought of this kind of genre mixup before now.

As far as the release goes, it looks like November is what has been announced. However, Capcom has been known to fall behind release schedule on DLC before, though, so it remains to be seen.
