Many fans, while excited to have new things to speculate on, likely noticed that there wasn’t too much going on in the new Resident Evil Village trailer. The video was just as abstract and unclear as the first.
Since then Capcom has announced a special event at the 2020 Tokyo Game Show. During said event, they intend to showcase two of their upcoming games: Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition and, of course, Resident Evil Village.
This event, starting at 8am EST for us westerners, kicks off with a half hour long presentation on DMC5. Likely, they’ll showcase some of the things that make this new edition “special”. This portion of the event will be translated.
Following the presentation, there’s something simply marked “Additional Information 1”. This is pretty vague, so we’re not sure what exactly this 10 minute segment will entail.
After that, there’s going to be another translated presentation, this time for Resident Evil Village and producers Peter Fabiano and Tsuyoshi Kanda will be present, talking about what the game will entail. Hopefully, we’ll see some gameplay, or at least get a few answers to the less-important but nagging questions the trailers have given us.
After that half-hour, there’s another half-hour dedicated to Village titled “Guest Talk Segment” with Eiko Kano.
The final 10 minutes of the show will be “Additional Information 2/Ending”. Again, this likely will just be wrapping up what they showed us, this time for Village.
All in all, it’s an exciting show they’ve got planned. Remember to set your alarms for early on September 27th! You can tune in live on the CapcomUSA Twitch account so you don’t miss out!
Resident Evil Village is set to release in 2021 on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS5, and PC.
