Capcom Releases Resident Evil Village’s System Requirements - 2 min read

Can you run it?

Resident Evil Village

As someone who only just recently started dabbling in PC gaming, I haven’t really put much thought into system requirements. Consoles do have that advantage; you almost never have to worry whether or not your console can handle an upcoming game. If it’s coming to the console, it’ll work on all of them.

With that being said, the PC culture always welcomes a heads-up from developers. If upgrades are needed, most would rather know sooner rather than later.

With that in mind, Capcom posted the system requirements, both recommended and minimum, for the PC iteration of Resident Evil Village over on the game’s Steam page.

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-7500 | AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB VRAM | AMD Radeon RX 560 with 4GB VRAM
  • DirectX: Version 12

Recommnded Specs

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 8700 | AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 | AMD Radeon RX 5700
  • DirectX: Version 12

As PC players know from experience, Capcom generally does what they can to lighten the PC crowd’s load. As such, I’m sure there’s a strong likelihood that most avid gamers will be fine playing Resident Evil Village with their current rigs.

If you have purchases to make, though, you better get them squared away before Resident Evil Village drops on May 7th.
